The Wyoming Wildlife Foundation is accepting applications now. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located in our Laramie office. The Program Assistant will work 20 to 25 hours a week. POSITION SUMMARY:  The Wyoming Wildlife Foundation (WWF) Program Assistant is responsible for working with the Director to coordinate the activities of the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation, a priority fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation. The Program Assistant is responsible for general communication and marketing, administration of the Wyoming Governor Big Game License Coalition and other grants, and  coordination of WWF board meetings and other work as needed.



50% – Programs & Grants Administration

  • Manages the grant processes of the WWF throughout the year including initial review, preparation for board evaluation, communication with grantees, and follow up with conditions
  • Wyoming Governor Big Game License Coalition
    • Posts and monitors the sales of licenses both on behalf of the WWF and other primary sellers
    • Works with the program team to process WGBGLC applications, prepare the packet for the coalition, compile reports and assist the coalition with evaluation
    • Attends the annual meeting of the coalition, takes meeting minutes and records funding decisions
    • Responsible for Coalition communication and working with grantees on awards, payments, progress reports, final reports and other communications

40% – Communication & Marketing

  • Coordinates and monitors the sale of WY Game & Fish Commissioner Licenses
  • Stays up to date on wildlife news in the state of Wyoming and works with Director to develop content for communication materials e.g. quarterly newsletter
  • Responsible for working with communications team to support WWF objectives with respect to the annual communications plan
  • Updates and edits WordPress website, updates social media, maintains constant contact, writes and distributes press releases

10% – General Administration

  • Works competently in the primary databases used by the foundation by entering data accurately and pulling requested reports for the Director and Board
  • Manages the logistics for quarterly board meetings including making meeting arrangements, preparing materials and taking meeting minutes; attends in person as possible
  • Supports all staff with events and other initiatives as necessary
